This is to notify all employees of our 2020 Internet Policy.  Please make a note of this and have a copy posted at all stations along with the breakroom.

All internet use during business hours is restricted to business only. Exceptions will be made for emergencies or prior approval. This policy includes cell phone usage.

It has been decided that we need more coordination when it comes to posting company information, such as upcoming sales, pictures, availability on the internet. To better serve our business and customers, we are going to create a committee of all employees that will be in charge of internet usage for Our Little Orchard.  The committee will be headed by Mrs. Pyle. The first meeting will be held on July 17 at 2:00 p.m. if there are any scheduling conflicts, please advise Mrs. Pyle as soon as possible. Employees will be given the opportunity to input suggestions and ideas on how and what we can post to best accommodate our seasonal fruit business without alienating our employees.

There are many ways the internet can benefit our family business, check out the top 25 at the following:

We have great pride in our OLO family and realize you are the best source of advertising we have. We want to work together for all concerned to make our place of employment better, happy, and profitable.

Sincerely,
Chris Pyle

HOW TO MAKE A BUSINESS EMAIL

How to make a Business Email Check out this  web site  for essential details on what to be aware of when writing an email. First, you need to sign up for email through the internet.  Multiple platforms can be used, including but not limited to, Gmail, Yahoo, and Outlook.   Once set up, click the new button to create your email.  This is what a blank email looks like from outlook, except for the insert signature line I have used. Next, you would add in the address making sure it is accurate. You have the opportunity to cc (carbon copy) another party, and you should include your subject.  The subject should be short but to the point. It needs to match the content of your email. You will then want to write your email.  If you are sending this to a new customer or someone you have not previously meant, it is helpful to provide them with a brief introduction of yourself.  You should only discuss public matters. Go over how the phone works.   It is essential to know how the phone you are going to be using works.  Never be afraid to ask a question. 2. The proper way to answer incoming calls from an outside caller. It is an excellent idea to inquiry with your employer how they would prefer the phones to be answered.  Always be polite and use a business manner. 3. The proper way to answer calls from inside the company. If a call is coming from inside your company, it should still be handled in a business manner. The phone should be answered with a Good Afternoon or Morning, and you should provide your name and the Department the caller has reached. 4. The proper way to put a call on hold. Not all phones are alike, it is a good idea to practice placing a call on hold before having to actually perform the duty.  You should also make sure to ge...
